Posera has a skilled management team with significant experience in the industry

Jim Gillis, President

Jim Gillis has been in the electronic cash register (“ECR”) and POS industry since 1976. He co-founded Progressive Systems in 1983, a Value Added Reseller (“VAR”) of the Maitre’D software solution.

Mr. Gillis is currently President of Posera and spends most of his time in the North American Sales function, specifically dealing with major accounts and focusing on Posera’s business development. He was also instrumental in the development of the CVM Color Kitchen Monitor System, the first color kitchen ordering device installed in the quick service marketplace.

Michel Côté, Vice President, Chief Operating Officer

Mr. Côté oversees the Montreal, Glasgow and Seattle operations. He is the driving force behind most of Posera’s marketing initiatives.

For more than 17 years, Mr. Côté has been traveling to numerous trade shows and has participated in many focus groups developing a unique international expertise. He is an active member of important IT associations including FIQ, ADRIQ, InterLogic and the SCSI.

He works very closely with the President and the sales team to build partnerships in the industry. Mr. Côté holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems (1988) from the University of Moncton.

Bill Neptune

Bill Neptune has been in the electronic cash register (“ECR”) and POS industry since 1976. In partnership with Mr. Gillis, Mr. Neptune co-founded Progressive Systems in 1983, a Value Added Reseller (“VAR”) of the Maitre’D software solution. He was also instrumental in the development of the hardware and software for the CVM Color Kitchen Monitor System. He works primarily out of the Seattle office and is heavily involved in troubleshooting and wireless communications. Mr. Neptune holds an AA degree in Electronics.

Jean Guimond, Vice President Sales & International Development

Mr. Guimond has 18 years of business experience principally in the hospitality industry. He has been responsible for building Posera’s distribution network over the past 8 years as well as overseeing all the sales teams and the support department in Montreal. He has recently conducted Posera’s international expansion. Mr. Guimond holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing from Concordia University.

Allen Shulman, Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Shulman brings more than 20 years of business experience in the areas of finance, mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, business restructurings, corporate strategy and management with more than seven years focusing in the Retail and Hospitality industries.

He has successfully managed and closed numerous business transactions and brings solid transactional and financial experience to his role at Posera. Prior to joining Posera, Mr. Shulman worked for 4 years in the Financial Advisory Services at Deloitte & Touche, where he played a key role in consulting businesses with regards to restructuring, financing, mergers and acquisitions. He was previously the CFO for a Master Franchiser for Pizza Hut Restaurants where he oversaw all treasury, budgeting, audit and tax issues.

Mr. Shulman holds a Chartered Accountant designation, a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce from Concordia University as well as a Diploma in Accounting from McGill University.
