Posera is a young, dynamic and expanding company whose mission is to offer high quality fully integrated POS software solutions for the hospitality industry (Maitre’D). The company is headquartered in Montreal but also has offices in Seattle, Glasgow and France responsible for distributing Posera’s products and providing professional services (technical support, training, etc.) to Posera’s resellers and end-users.
Posera is currently looking for a Web Programmer. Under the supervision of the R&D Director, this person participates in the design and development of different functionalities of our multiple Websites. This person will also develop custom reports using Crystal Report and SSRS.
Qualifications
University degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related program, or equivalent experience;
2 years of experience in a web development
The following programming scales are required:
- C#, JavaScript;
- HTML, XML;
- Microsoft .Net Framework, ASP.Net 2.0, (knowledge about .Net 3.0);
- Database knowledge;Initiative and creativity;
Demonstrated ability to work efficiently within a team and flexibility;
Bilingual (English spoken and written skills are essential)
The following are considered as assets:
- Microsoft SQL Server;
- Microsoft IIS Server;
- Knowledge of the WebTrends or other Web Analytics solutions -
Knowledge of SAGE CRM, Insight, Reporting Services and Crystal Reports
The ideal candidate will have:

Responsabilities
Within the scope of corporate objectives and policies to accomplish assigned goals, this person is responsible for the following:
Write specifications / Design;
Code / Debug / Maintain existing applications and databases;
Document and ensure consistent implementation of UI guidelines and standards;
Maintain the company websites;
Expert at resolving cross-browser related issues;
Evaluate the workload and the timeframe for each step;
Analyze information requirements and access databases to develop custom reports using Crystal Report and SSRS toolkit;
Provide day-to-day technical support, troubleshooting and bug fixes to existing Crystal reports with tight turnaround time (and SSRS reports);
Any other related task, as required.
This is a Montreal-based full-time permanent position, i.e. 40 hours per week Monday through Friday.
