Posera is a young, dynamic and expanding company whose mission is to offer high quality fully integrated software solutions for the hospitality industry (Maitre'D).  The company has offices in Seattle, Montreal, Glasgow and Paris which are responsible for distributing Posera's products and providing professional services (technical support, training, etc.) to its resellers and end-users.

In order to sustain its growth Posera is currently seeking a Software Developer. Under the supervision of the Director-R&D, this person participates in the design and development of different functionalities of our software solution Maitre’D.

Qualifications

· College degree in Computer Science or related program;
. Minimum of 2 years of software development experience in an MS Windows environment;
. Proficiency with C++ and C# ;
. Minimum of 2 years of SQL development experience;
. Strong knowledge of Object Oriented concepts and design;
. Experience in a commercial software development context (complete cycle form conception to delivery)
. Initiative and creativity;
. Demonstrated ability to work efficiently within a team and flexibility;
. Strong knowledge of French (spoken and written);
. Good knowledge of English (spoken and written).

 

Theses elements will be considered as assets:

· Hospitality industry knowledge.

Responsabilities

Within the scope of corporate objectives and policies to accomplish assigned goals, this person is responsible for the following:

 

· Preliminary and functional analysis
. Writing of specifications
. Design
. Coding and documentation
. Debugging
. Application maintenance
. Any other related task, as required

This is a Montreal-based full-time permanent position, i.e. 40 hours per week Monday through Friday.  8-hour shifts may run between the hours of 8am to 8pm, depending on business needs.
